BIOGRAPHY

A native of Toronto, Marco De La Cruz has been playing professionally since the age of 12.
A graduate of the Humber College Jazz and Commercial Music program with a B. Mus. in Music from Thompson Rivers University (British Columbia), Marco majored in piano performance, with a specialization in Latin, RnB and Jazz genres.
Marco is the pianist for Toronto based SALSA/RNB band, Salseros with Attitude - SWA and soul/classic rock band The Salida Project. Mark also performs with many of Toronto's top salsa bands such as La Moda Eterna, Ricky Franco and the P-Crew Orchestra, Orquesta Fantasía, Salsotika, Son D'Aqui and Manny Cardenas. Together with SWA, Marco performs with Juno Award nominated singer Adonis Puentes.
Marco is a professional arranger/composer and writes for many of Toronto's RnB and latin bands as well as for jazz big bands.
In addition to his work in the music scene, Marco holds an honors degree in history from Western University and a degree in education from The University of Toronto/OISE. He currently teaches high school Music and English.
On the weekends, Marco can be found praising the Lord as church pianist for St. Barnabas Roman Catholic Church.
